Kent A. Kurtz, a seasoned executive, brings a wealth of expertise in financial markets, risk management, financial engineering, and portfolio management. With a successful career at investment banks HSBC, Nomura Securities, and Deutsche Bank, Kent has demonstrated a consistent ability to manage businesses, drive revenue, and foster sustainable growth.
As an original founding member and partner at Tribeca Early-Stage Partners (TESP), Kent helped build the team and oversee the coordination of 65 members. The group evaluates ~1,000 start-ups annually and built a successful investing platform.
As a director at Pacific Advantage Capital, Kent focused on early-stage investment opportunities in health technology, medical devices, and renewable energy. Kent served as Board Chairman for an AI/ML Health Tech Software company, Pieces Technologies, and successfully led Series A and B funding rounds.
While at HSBC Bank USA, Kent served as Senior Managing Director and Head of U.S. Credit Trading, contributing significantly to the trading group’s success while redesigning the trading and risk management platforms for global credit trading.
At Nomura Securities International, Kent was a Senior Portfolio Manager and Managing Director and headed proprietary trading for the equity options & volatility group.
Kent’s expertise includes derivative trading, risk management, financial engineering, and strategic business development at Bankers Trust/Deutsche Bank.
Kent holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
